To become responsible driver, you need to know precautions while on the road. The general precautions while driving and general precautions regarding children's safety. 


General precautions while driving

Always wear and fasten seat belt all the time. Wearing your seat belt saves your life if untoward accident happens. In addition, not wearing a seat belt may lead to an apprehension by the authority. There's a law covering on not wearing a seat belt.

Before driving the vehicle, lock all the doors and ensure all of the doors are properly closed. If the door is not fully in may open unexpectedly while driving that may result to an accident. In addition, exhaust fumes may enter the vehicle causing death or a serious health hazard.

Do not pull the inside handle of the doors while driving. The doors may be opened and the passengers are thrown out of the vehicle and it may result in serious injury or even death.

Never drive your vehicle when under the influence of alcohol or drugs that have impaired your ability to operate your vehicle. Alcohol and certain medication drugs delay reaction time, impair judgment and reduce coordination,which could lead to an accident that could result in death or serious injury.

Always drive defensively all the time. Anticipate mistakes that other drivers or pedestrians might make and be ready to avoid accidents.

Also, you should avoid distraction and always give your full attention to driving. Anything that distracts the driver such as adjusting controls, side mirror, talking on the phone, texting, or reading can result in a collision that may result to a serious injury and death.

General precaution regarding child's safety

For your little one safety, never leave them unattended in the vehicle, and never allow children to have or use the car key. Also, make sure that you have set the rear door child protector locks or child lock when children are get on-board. These lock can be set to prevent children from opening the rear doors.

Children may be able to start the vehicle or shift the vehicle into neutral. There is also a danger that children may injure themselves by playing with the cigarette lighter, the windows, or any other feature your car have. In addition, heat build up or extremely cold temperature inside the vehicle that can be fatal to children's.
