Protecting and maintaining car exterior in prime condition.

By maintaining the good look and paint of your car, her value will not depreciate even if its gets old. So in order to achieve this, you need to perform the following to protect the car exterior and maintain it in prime condition.

• Working from the top to bottom, liberally apply water to the vehicle body, wheel wells and underside of the car to remove any dirt and dust.
• Wash the vehicle body using a sponge or soft cloth, such as a chamois.
• For hard to remove marks, use car wash soap and rinse thoroughly with water.
• Wipe away any water.
• Wax the car when the waterproof coating deteriorates
• If the water does not bead on a clean surface, apply wax when the car body is cool.

Automatic car washes

• Fold the mirrors and stow the antenna before washing the car. Start washing from the front of the vehicle. Make sure to extend the mirrors before driving.
• Brushes use in an automatic car washers may scratch the vehicle surface and harm your car's body paint.
• For car with the rear spoiler, in certain automatic car washers, the spoiler may interfere with the machine operation. This may prevent the vehicle from being cleaned properly or result in damage to the rear spoiler.

High pressure car washer

• Do not allow the nozzles of the car wash to come within close proximity of the windows.
• Before using the car wash, check that the fuel filler door on your vehicle is properly closed.

Note: When washing a car, do not apply water to the inside of the engine compartment. Doing so may cause the electrical components to catch fire. 

To prevent paint deterioration and corrosion on the body and components such as aluminum wheels, have it repair immediately if the paint is chipped or scratch. And to prevent the wheel from corroding, remove any dirt and store the it in a place with low humidity. Also, it is very important wash the car immediately in the following cases.

1. After driving near the sea coast
2. After driving on the salted road
3. If coal tar or tree sap is present on the paint surface
4. If dead insects, insect droppings or birds droppings are present on the paint surface
5. After driving in an area contaminated with soot, oily smoke, mine dust, iron powder, or chemical substance.
6. If the car become heavily soiled with dust or mud.
7. If liquids such as benzene and gasoline are spilled on the paint surface.

Cleaning the exterior lights

Clean the light by carefully washing, do not use organic substances or scrub with hard brush. This may damaged the surface of the lights. Also, remember not to put a wax to the surface of the lights, wax may darken or cause damage to the lenses.
