2017 Subaru Impreza Review: Protection Like no other

The new 2017 Subaru Impreza comes all wheel as standard platform, lighter, stronger, boasts better handling and equipped with new safety features. It's a total improvement over the previous car, both outside and inside design. Comes more larger with a 18 inch trim wheel for sports variant, LED head lamps, and a new face-lift to the front grill.

2017 Subaru Impreza Interior Design

For Subaru, its always been know for having big windows and doors that open wide making easy to get in and out. And this 2017 Subaru Impreza doesn't break that reputation.

The Impreza is never know to be a flashy car, but it's all about practicality and they did that very very well for the recent years. But the all new 2017 Subaru Impreza interior design now comes with a bigger platform, that offers more space.

The dashboard screen is quite larger at 6 1/2 inches for entry level variant and 18 inches for sporty and higher. Also, you got another screen on the center of the dash which is carried over from it's predecessor.

Android auto and Apple car play are comes standard on this car which mean you don't have to buy a navigation app. All you need to do is to plug in your smart phone and it project to the dash screen.

The Impreza also comes with big dials and switches which makes it easy to use and access for all ages.

Fuel Inefficiency

One of the challenge that Subaru might have is, the people think about all wheel drive consume more fuel. And they done a lot to get around that. With the new 2017 Subaru Impreza the only way they have to do is the adaption of continuously variable transmission. Even if it more larger, safer, and stiffer, the fuel economy rating is 11.90 km per liter city drive, and 15.38 km per liter on the highway.

Engine 2.0L 4 cylider 152 Horsepower
The engine is carried over, which is the 2.0L 4 cylider boxer. So what is new is the fact that is has direct injection added that boast the power to 152 horsepower.

Preset Shift Point Transmission

Yes it is a continuously variable transmission but Subaru adds in seven preset shift point to mimic the regular automatic transmission. So you can drive in on D or put it in the manual to use those virtual gear.

Eyesight System Safety Features

2017 Subaru Impreza has the new advanced safety features called eyesight system, such as traffic movement monitoring, optimize cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic breaking, lane keeping assistant, blind site assist, and the automatic rear breaking. At the speed of up to 15 km/h, if the rear parking sensor will sense any object on the back, it automatically hit the break for you.

  1. Regarding the flagship, I think that Subaru's flagship is the Subaru Legacy (which is definitely more comfortable and premium). This is an all-around great sedan, though, and will probably gain accolades like the Mazda3 and the Civic.
