How to keep your newborn safe and healthy

The first few weeks of your newborn can be a huge adjustment. But as a newly experience parents, keeping your baby safe and healthy is easier than you might think.

Lets start with the most basic on how to keep your newborn safe and healthy.

Breast feeding
If you can breast feed, then breast feed your baby no matter what, because with breast feeding you can pass as many as valuable nutrients and immunity to your baby that helps to protect them from disease.

Although it's highly recommended to breast feed your baby, but their's a chance mother don't produce milk. If these is your case, don't worry their are many formula which are excellent substitute for breast milk.

Bottle Feeding
Theirs a many ways that you can bond to your baby when bottle feeding. Some advice are as follow; hold your baby close, look at them in the eyes and talk or sing to them while feeding.

Baby Crying
Another things newborn do a lot is crying, how much? It depends on the baby. Every baby is different, some baby is crying a lot, some are cry a little, you never know, but it's a natural to baby to cry. It's starts around two weeks of age and ends around four to months of age.

But theirs a many ways to soothe a crying baby, of course you can carry them, walk around with them, sometimes place baby in bounce seat. But if you have a baby don't stop crying, it's OK to put your baby down in a safe environment like a crib and take a break.

Baby in crib
If the baby is in the crib, they should be alone. Their should not any pillows, blanket, and any toys.

When to call your Pediatrician
If your baby has a temperature higher than 100.4
If your baby has trouble in breathing
If baby is not feeding
If baby is not urinating
