Newborn baby

Hi baby, welcome to wonderful world! At this moment you hear her first cry, a cry that brings happiness to parents heart. In my case with my little Jane, as I observe, thousand of questions about her racing through my mind. Why does my newborn baby looks like an alien, why her eyes where so big and uneven, why her hair are curly and sticking upward, why her head is cone shape and deform, her body is covered with fine downy hair, swollen eye and more why’s. Also, her labia is swollen. (But according to medical experts, swollen labia for little girl and swollen scrotum for little boy is perfectly normal, they are due to hormones of mother still circulating in newborn’s body.)

Your newborn also show some strange reflex as mine did and will probably drop some weight from five to ten percent. Also, newborn’s spend more time sleeping on their first two weeks – she’s very sleepy. All these are perfectly normal.

Believe me I disappoint , I expected baby Jane to be perfect after birth - a picture of angelic – looking cherub. After five days, wow, she’s turn into a perfect innocent a picture of an amoretto. After a week her color slightly change to rosy smooth and the fine downy hair covering her body starts to fall.

One month old baby 

Tough for a weary parents to accept as true, but not all of the newborn baby cries alike these stage of parenthood. The one month old baby have a different moan to communicate with different needs – when baby is hungry, quick and low pitched that go along with sucking – when baby is bored an erratic whimpering – when uncomfortable and overtired a continuous crying. These stage of parenthood, you and your baby will keep busy, from a time to time feeding to changing blown diapers and sometimes entertaining.

While like on the movie, babies are known for their smooth white glossy skin, one month old are definitely not as expected. Among the condition you expect with your one month is having a red or purple skin, white heads, flaky yellow cradle cap, and pink diaper rash. Not to worry, all of this are just normal, its a sign of newborn immature circulation. And fortunately, all these imperfection are temporary and all gone on their own as your baby grows.

Two month old baby

Yes it’s true, nurturing a baby is a very exhausting sleepless filthy job you ever have. But unlike any other career, your reward can be much prettily, well rewarding  and you have now about to reach the 2nd month in your parenting, probably one of the best reward is showing right about now; a wonderful sweet smile!

The new stunning event that takes place at the two month mark on your baby’s development may include coos, laughter, new desire for leisure time and the most heartbreaking, your baby knows who you are. Starting on these day, when your two month old baby sees your face or hear your voice,chances are your baby respond by turning toward you and flashing a great big gummy grin. With my case, every-time baby Jane sees me or hear my voice, she usually do crying out loud. Not stopping until I carry her in my arms.

If you could only look closely inside to your baby’s fluffy and soft head, at these stage of the development surely you could see a very busy brain at work. Such as engaging huge perception like eye-hand coordination and object recognition. Also, at these phase of your baby’s development, she / he is much more aware to the environment and more sensitive to changes. This only entails that she / he may become little picky about who can carry her.

At this two month old mark also, not only the brain who is busy at work, baby’s body too is catching up. At these moment your baby’s body is now mastering numbers of new physical skills. With my little Jane, she exerting more power now on pushing her legs, her arms, and carry her head with longer period of time compare when she’s one month old.

Three Month Old Baby

Your little one has been able to recognize you since the first hour after her birth, but now at 3 months older she may actually be able to exhibit it by a sweet smile at you or she moves an arm and feet, especially when you look at her in the eye or coo or talk to him.
