Symptoms are redness, burning, and inflammation of the skin. Infant are prone to sunburn because they have a thin and fragile skin. Usually, sunburn occurs after one hour of sun exposure, but the pain could feel and redness appears on 12 to 14 hours later. And it go away on its own after two to three day. 

Treatment and prevention of sunburn

Study show that 90 percent of skin cancers are caused by overexposure to the sun and can be prevent. Since prevention is the best cure, here’s how you keep your little safe;
  • Limit sun exposure. Nowadays, avoid sun ray’s between 9 a.m to 4 p.m (before when earth is not under the catastrophe of global warming between 10 a.m to 3 p.m)
  • Always apply a sunblock lotion, use at least SPF 30, and formulated for sensitive skin.
  • Make sure your little is protected under the shade.
  • If skin is swell, consult your pediatrician and for the meantime use any hypoallergenic moisturizer to soothe your child’s skin.
