Vehicle Maintenance Weekly Check

There are few  simple checks that require no great skill or sophisticated tools to do that help keep you away from repair shops and expense. And these  maintenance check should be done regularly, better do it weekly. Don't worry it only take you a very few from your precious time. 

Tire Condition
Keeping an eye on tire condition and its pressure will not only help to stop vehicle tyre from premature wear out, but it also keep you safe and other driver user from road accident.

Battery Condition
A large percentage of vehicle breakdown are caused by an electrical problems. Bad battery condition and other battery-related fault are very common and prevention is the better than major repair. So a quick weekly check will often prevent the majority of vehicle breakdown.

Brake Fluid
Sometimes a vehicle could develop a brake fluid leak that cause brake to fail and lead to many road accidents and lost of lives.  Based on my experience,the symptoms of brake fluid leak , is the time when your brake don't properly work. Checking brake fluid level in a weekly basis will give you an advance warning for this kind of problem. However, changing brake fluid level is not always associated with fluid leak. More often it cause by wear out brake pads.

Engine Oil Level
If the oil level run low, the cost of engine repair will be far more expensive than fixing a leak or adding engine oil. Check engine oil level and top-up if run low. See also facts about engine oil

Coolant level
Like engine oil, coolant has a very important role in your car engine to run properly. And if coolant level run low, it may lead to overheat much worst an engine bay fire. So a weekly check help you.

Transmission Fluid 
Most of the time, vehicle transmission fluid are left behind and being forget. Based on my experience with my first car where I need to replace its whole transmission with a new one, the 1998 Toyota Corolla automatic. It's ATF turns white, without my knowing that water already slip on it, because I don't do regular check. So to keep you away from huge expense do your part weekly on your vehicle.

Washer Fluid
Like transmission fluid, washer fluid level are also ignore by most car owner. Don't just fill it with water, better to add some screenwash additives. It not only keep vehicle windshield clean but it prevent car washer system freezing when your settle at temperate countries.

Power Steering Fluid
For you to steer comfortable, make sure your power steering fluid are at the right level. Sometimes the need for frequent topping-up indicates a leak.

Wiper Blade
Wiper blade that properly wipe water during heavy rain helps you gain visual on the road. Poor vision often lead to an accidents and lost of lives. Weekly check help you prevent most.

Bulbs and Fuses
During night driving even day time, having a clear lamp both headlights, turn lights and tail light prevent most accident. In order them to work properly, better to check bulbs and fuses in a regular basis, might be weekly is enough.

For the meantime, these maintenance check up will help you a lot like I do. As I mention earlier in these article, on my first car I never do a DIY maintenance check in a regular basis that lead me to huge expense. I learn from my past.
