What is motor oil?

Motor oil is made of base oils and additives. Base oil comes 80 percent while additives make up the additional 20%. Base oil is a conventional petroleum or synthetic or the mixture of the two. While additives are;

Oil Viscosity Property

Engine oil have a multi viscosity property. What is that mean? It means that a multi weight oils flow easily at very low or very high temperatures. A quality oil also contains additives to makes sure your complete engine protections.

Understanding Vescosity

Viscosity is measured by the flow or the thickness of the motor oil.

Vescosity grade = thickness of the oil
Viscosity index = how the oil responds to changes in temperature

Means that an engine operating in high temperature need high viscosity grade or engine operate in low temperature, need low viscosity grade.

Choose right viscosity grade to your vehicle to achieve high fuel economy, prevent wear, and unlock horse power.

What motor oil does in your engine?

The function of motor oil we all know is to lubricate engine parts and keep metal touching metal to prevent, reduce friction and wear on your engine. But its main function is to protect engine surfaces from acid, water and sludge to prevent rusting and corrosion, two things you do not want to happen to your engine. So a regular change of engine oil is necessary to keep your vehicle safety and achieve more fuel economy.

Also, engine oil reduces engine heat by as much as 20%. It means that it keeps the engine cool to run vehicle properly. 

Oil must flow freely through the engine, when engine turns off, oil must be freely flow at the bottom of the engine. When you start the engine, the races on to get the oil from the bottom to the top of your engine, to the camshaft, to lifter, pistons, crankshaft, and all the parts that is moving and need the protections. A quality oil win that every time during engine startup.

To meet the maximum protection on your engine, every technician agreed that it would be change in every three months or 6000 kilometers which ever comes first.     Engine oil is the only health boost drink for our vehicle engine; it helps to refine our engine and improves its efficiency; in order to develop the engine performance and increases the life duration of the engine we are using engine oil. Here also we can get some extra qualities of engine oil and I hope we people are using engine oil in order to increase our engine's performance.
