Gas pedal hard to push down or sticking

Imahe
Cause of Sticking Pedal When I press the accelerator or gas pedal, the initial touch requires a some force, were I almost have to stomp on the gas pedal to get it to go. So on my garage I try spraying some WD40 on the accelerator wire and spring that was exposed thinking it was just friction issue. But nothings happens. It ended up for me to hit the search engine for the possible solutions and found a very simple one. The problem was the butterfly valve that allows air into the engine is getting stuck with carbon deposits. To deal with this problem you will need the following; Carburetor Cleaner An old Toothbrush Some Paper Towels Phillips Screwdriver Start cleaning by opening up the hood, and look for the large black flex pipe that runs from your air filter to the top of the engine. There should be a metal wire on a pulley near where this pipe connects. To remove the hose, loosen up the hose clamp with the screwdriver. Once the clamp is loose enough to move around, pull the pipe off o...

Seaoil Motor Oil 20W 50 Review

Imahe
Frequent engine oil and filter changes are good for the engine. So, I recommend changing both oil and filter for every 6000 kilometers or 6 months, whichever comes first, no exemptions. But, good engine oil are quite expensive.  One day my fuel indicator light comes up, so I drive around the city looking for a pump station to fill my tank to full. On the Seaoil pump station window glass displays number of motor oil with different viscosity on a very low prices. On the first place, I doubt it's not a quality motor oil because it comes at very low price, more than half lower than those with other brands. Seaoil Motor Oil 20W 50 Because of its very low price, for only Php150 per liter, I decide to try Sea Oil motor oil with viscosity 20w 50 (instead of 15w 30 because its not available on that time) on my car. After the process of changing oil, I drive my car around and it works fine. This time with Sea Oil motor oil I can even do change my vehicle oil in every three months time. ...

Signs of Maintenance free battery turns bad

Imahe
One morning, I turn the ignition on and the engine crank very weak but it can manage to start the engine. So I think my battery get discharged for some reason so I drive the car to work, its one hour drive and enough to recharge my battery to full. However, after work, on the parking I turn the ignition on and like this morning the engine crank more weak but can manage to start my engine. Driving home, put my headlight on high beam and I found something not normal. It goes dim when I open the power window and goes to normal after the operation. Also both air condition system and the radio is operational, but with no valid reason, my radio goes off. It comes quick to my mind that I have some parasitic draw who use some battery amps when engine is off, so I did check all accessories, fuses and light one by one using a tester, I even take out my doom light suspecting this would be the cause. After all the electrical check up, I found nothing. I am now turning and suspecting a bad alternat...

Burn Wire: Engine Block to Vehicle Body

Imahe
One stormy night I was driving down the freeway going home from work. The engine revs normal at the speed of 80 kph at 1500 rpm, head lights on high beam, fog lights, air condition systems, entertainment system, and GPS navigation are all operational. Reaching the toll plaza, I smell a foul odor coming from air condition system vents and its seems like a burning plastics. Thinking it was coming from other vehicle on my twelve or on my six, so I drive the car home. Reaching home, I park the car on the garage and put the engine off. All seems to be normal, but when I get off the car, I caught some foul odor again of burning plastic. So with my worries, I did check all my wheel first and non of them producing such burning odor. But upon opening the hood, the odor comes more stronger. So I check all the wires and found that the ground wire connecting engine block and car body was burn't down.  Upon discoveries, I did check all my fuses if there's any of them get blown too and I fou...
