♡ Diaper Rash Prevention and Treatment ♡

Before we prevent diaper rash, we should know first what does diaper rash look like. 

If child bum or diaper area seems like irritated and reddish, chances are it is a diaper rash. Diaper rash is common on your child's first year or two and dealing with it is a part of nursing a child.

♡ How baby acquired diaper rash?

The culprit of diaper rash are more likely, the wetness, introducing of new food, and allergic.

♡ How prevent diaper rash?

Prevention is better than any cure, so it is very important for us parents to give more attention to frequent diaper changing to keep your child's bum or diaper area clean and dry. Don't use wipes that contains alcohol or fragrance. Also, consider the following as prevention;
  • It is better to use lukewarm water. 
  • Don't sip the diaper tight so air flow can regulate the temperature on your baby diaper area.
  • Do not rub child's skin and never to use powder.

♡ Should I take my child to hospital?

I think it's not necessary to see your health worker. With an earnest effort, you can able to take off diaper rash in just a couple of day. However, if the rash looks infected with blister, pus-filled pimples, or open sores you must consult to physician for prescription of oral antibiotic.

♡ How to cure diaper rush?

To cure diaper rash with more diligence, it is more like your in prevention stage. Keep your child's clean and dry by frequent diaper changing. If rash is already building up, while cleaning with wipes or cotton ball with lukewarm water, don't rub child's skin just pat on it. Also, put some ointment to serve as a barrier between diaper and child's soft skin. I use petroleum jelly for your baby. Also, loosen the diaper for air to circulate.
