Child's life and beyond
Learning through the senses is a continuous process, beginning early in child's life and goes beyond 3 years of age. Children first start learning about the world by instinctively using their five senses. Sight, sound, taste, smell and touch experiences all help to simulate conginitive development. Sensory play provides children with the sensory experiences that strengthen their conginitive skills. That is why it is important to give youngsters plenty of oppotunities to use their senses as they explore and interact with their environment.
